Thank You, Women's Self-Defense Class Participants

We'd like to thank each participant at yesterday's women's self-defense class for taking the time on a Sunday to come and learn some effective Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques. We had a very good turnout and some excellent questions were posed about different street scenarios.

Thanks also to all of you for helping us promote the class and "spread the word" about our Academy. We plan to host another class like this in the near future, so stay tuned and we'll let you know.

Remember, class goes on as planned this Saturday, and we appreciate the help from our assistant instructors as many of us will travel to the Rickson Gracie Seminar in Nashville this weekend.

We'd like to thank Professor Bruce Shepherd for conducting another incredible workshop at Spencer County Martial Arts. The focus today was on submission escapes...what to do when you're almost to the point of no return. We'll have a highlight reel and photos posted in the near future. If you weren't able to make this one, we plan to have him back very soon for another workshop.

In addition, we wouldn't be able to offer such seminars and workshops at the Academy if it were not for the support of our students and the larger jiu-jitsu community in Louisville and beyond. With that, we'd like to thank all of today's participants for supporting the growth of the art and the advancement of technique.

There's much more to come, too!

Our sister school, Louisville Martial Arts Academy, will host Luis "Limao" Heredia (a Master Pedro Sauer, 4th-degree black belt representative) again on March 22 and 23, one week after the Rickson Gracie seminar in Nashville.  

More details will follow on Professor Heredia's seminar.

All of us at Spencer County Martial Arts would like to thank Professor Bruce Shepherd for conducting such a phenomenal seminar today. We appreciate him taking time out of his Sunday to travel several hours and instruct us. He covered some excellent techniques that are sure to make our games excel.

For those of you who couldn't make today's seminar, don't fret. We plan to have Professor Shepherd back again soon. In addition, we'll soon post photos and a sample video to give you guys just a small taste of what the day consisted of.

Please also don't forget to mark your calendars for Nov. 7, 8, and 9. Master Sauer's winter training camp is headed to Louisville Martial Arts. For just $195, you get to also train with Relson Gracie and Luis Heredia. There are four, three-hour sessions that will be conducted. Individual sessions will only cost $70.
